The Smart Board: Guest Writer

Our last student guest writer generated a great deal of blog comments. Based on the fantastic feedback and in an attempt to promote student writing, the PM Tech Blog will feature more mini-articles from student guest writers. This week, we have two 4th grade students who put together a brief reaction to a recent classroom “Smart Board” lesson.

Using the Smart Board is fun while it is educational for kids. Some ways that we used it in our classroom are for: a pest management site and an electrical safety site and we also made bar graphs. When you use the markers they show up on the Smart Board and the computer too! We think that teachers should use the Smart Board a lot more! It would get the kids even more interested in what the teachers are teaching. We’re very glad that Central Manor has a Smart Board!

I agree too! I think it’s a great way to get students involved in their learning. Our class has had a lot of fun working with a variety of interactive sites on the Smart Board and I plan to continue using it in the future!
